Scholars and Athletes Serving Others (SASO) is making a difference in San Antonio
Who We Are: Scholars & Athletes Serving Others (SASO) is an inclusive, non-profit service organization, dedicated to providing philanthropic opportunities for Mothers and their Daughters.
What We Offer:
- Volunteer Opportunities: SASO Girls San Antonio aligns itself with local charities and non-profit organizations within our community that rely on volunteers to successfully deliver their events and programming.
- Personal Growth Meetings: Designed for girls only (moms are optional), the meetings tackle age-appropriate topics like CPR, auto maintenance, social responsibility, self-defense, teen drinking, leadership, and college preparation.
- Simplicity: There are no monthly meetings or fundraising required. This is an opportunity for Mothers and Daughters to bond while supporting their community and building character.
Who May Join: Girls entering grades 9-12 who live in the Clark, O’Connor, Brandeis, or Harlan attendance zones (public, private, or homeschooled) and their mothers. Based on interest, we will offer up to 10 “lottery” spots for girls who live outside of the aforementioned attendance zones.
